As You See It 102

After a fabulous weekend away in Wellington last week, it was great to be back in my craft room this weekend. As I was sitting contemplating my lovely new Christmas ornaments bundle, I saw how I would use the superb sketch from As You See It, even if September seems ridiculously early to be thinking of Christmas!

The left-hand panel was created by resist embossing: the holly stamp embossed in white then sponged with Cherry Cobbler. I've inlaid some Cherry Cobbler and pearls into the fabulous little bauble die from the set, which had been cut in gold card then backed with white. To carry the gold from the bauble into the rest of the card, the 'Christmas' part of the sentiment is gold-embossed. Cherry Cobbler, gold and white is my current favourite Christmas combo.

Ingredients
Card: Whisper White, gold card, strip of Cherry Cobbler
Stamps: Embellished Ornaments, Endless Wishes
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Versamark
Other: Delicate Ornaments die, White embossing powder, gold embossing powder, pearls, dimensionals, gold ribbon

  1. It does seem funny to be thinking of Xmas in September but I should be doing the same thing myself. I decided at the beginning of the year that I would make Xmas cards each month but do you think I stuck to that schedule?? This is beautiful and love that bauble die, especially in the gold with that deep red. Definitely a brilliant one for your Xmas Card stash!!

  2. I thought the left panel was Designer Paper! Such a great design. Love the gold bauble. Someone mentioned to me the other day that there are only 15 Saturdays until Christmas... so maybe September is not too early after all :) Thanks for playing with the AYSI challenge this week.

  3. Beautiful work, Jan, especially with the inlays! Papercrafters have to start early with their Christmas preparations, so really not too early! Thanks for joining us at As You See It Challenges this week!
